New Alcohol Possession Limits in Maharashtra 

The Government of Maharashtra has issued a revised notification on alcohol possession limits  under the Maharashtra Prohibition Act, 1949. This update is crucial for anyone who buys, stores, or consumes liquor in the state.

Holding more than the prescribed limit of alcohol can be considered illegal! But what exactly is the limit now?

New Possession Limits:

✔️ Country Liquor – Only 2 Units
✔️ IMFL & Imported Liquor – Maximum 12 Units
✔️ Beer & Wine – Up to 12 Units
✔️ Toddy & Alcoholic Liquids – Up to 12 Units.

⚠️ Important Rule: If you possess multiple types of liquor, your total stock cannot exceed 12 units at a time!
